Judy Freed has more than 25 years of clinical experience, helping people grow, heal, and transform their lives. She welcomes clients who are struggling with issues of self-esteem, relationship difficulties, compulsions and addictions, disordered eating, depression, anxiety, illness, and chronic pain, as well as a wide range of here-and-now life challenges.
She also welcomes clients who want to deepen or enhance their current level of well-being and creativity. When someone is ready to embark on the journey of healing, Judy is honored to join in that journey with her skill, expertise, and compassionate presence.
Judy’s approach incorporates mind, body, and spirit, with an emphasis on body awareness and mindfulness. She treats the whole person, not just a set of symptoms or a diagnosis. She specializes in working with compulsive/emotional eating and body image issues, and has significant experience working with adult children of addicted or disordered parents. She approaches these issues from a holistic perspective, recognizing that there is no “one size fits all” method for recovery.
Judy is acutely aware of the challenges of managing multiple chemical sensitivities/environmental illness (MCS/EI). She welcomes clients living with these conditions, and she maintains a fragrance-free policy in her practice, to decrease potential environmental triggers. Skype sessions are available to make her services more accessible to clients living with MCS/EI.
Along with her private therapy practice, Judy offers experiential therapy training, supervision, and consultation for mental health professionals.
