As an improvisational theater artist, Judy performed in Washington, DC, with “Last Flight Out” and “Washington Weaken’d Revue.” She was a founding cast member of DC Playback Theater Company and Playback Philadelphia.
Judy wrote and performed a full-length autobiographical one-woman show, “40 Years of Wandering: It’s Not Easy Being Freed,” in 2006. Seeds from that show germinated into a later development of her solo performance piece about eating disorders, “Food Fight,” which premiered at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival in 2009.
Judy sang in the SUNY Chamber Singers of Albany, New York and the Zemer Chai Jewish Chorale of Washington, DC. She has performed her original songs in PASA showcases and was a featured act at the Mermaid Inn in Philadelphia.
She was co-director and choreographer of P3 (People Percussion Project), a body percussion dance company in Philadelphia. She performed tap with the DC Rhythm Ensemble. She also performed with Kaleidoscope Dance Company in New York City and the Tavlin Israeli Dance Company in Washington, DC. Judy has an extensive history of teaching tap dance, body percussion, and Israeli folkdance to children and adults.
